Sony Pictures Entertainment has dropped the first full trailer for the upcoming Gran Turismo movie, directed by District 9 helmer Neill Blomkamp.
The movie will star Midsommar actor Archie Madekwe as Jann Mardenborough, a real-life British professional racing driver whose career started after he beat 90,000 other entrants of the GT Academy, a programme that saw the racing simulator game team up with Nissan to offer one skilled driver the chance to drive for them in the Dubai 24 Hour race.
The trailer gives us a decent idea of what to expect from the dramatization, including a bunch of nods to the racing series – check out the stack of older Gran Turismo cases on Jann’s shelves – although if we’re picky, the timeline is a little off given Gran Turismo 7 features in the trailer quite prominently, despite that game releasing in 2022 (and the real life
