Actress Gemma Atkinson, the girlfriend of Strictly Come Dancing pro Gorka Marquez, has addressed rumours he is set to leave the hit BBC dance competition in the new year
Gorka Marquez's partner Gemma Atkinson has shot down recent claims that the he is leaving Strictly Come Dancing after narrowly missing out on a win in last week’s final.
A source had claimed: "He looked so devastated last week because he knew the final might be his last chance of taking home the Glitterball, which had eluded him twice before." However, in an update shared on Saturday, Gorka’s long term girlfriend Gemma insisted that this is not the case as she hit back at the reports that the dance pro would be waving goodbye to the show he loves.
She then continued: “Obvs this isn’t true at all! Same as it wasn’t true about Gio last year. Merry Christmas!”The news comes after Gorka spoke out following the show’s final when some fans claimed that he was caught with an "angry" face when he and dance partner Helen Skelton missed out on the coveted glitter ball trophy.
