Gordon Ramsay originally planned to be a sportsman but his dream was cut short due to injury.
Gordon Ramsay says he felt like he was left on the 'rubbish heap' after he was forced to end his Rangers FC dream following a horror knee injury.
Recalling his days trialling for the football team, Gordon told The High Performance Podcast : "I was fit as a fiddle. 6ft 2in, naturally left footed. Very, very few individuals got past me, so I was a steam train. He continued: "I went in for this 50/50 tackle and it was 'crunch.' I laid there in such pain, tore my cruciate ligament, and smashed by cartilage. Then, we didn't have private healthcare.
"You didn't get whisked off to Germany for the latest surgeon, you were on the rubbish heap. You were on the scrap heap. Because there were four or five guys behind me instantly to take my place.
