The Winning For Women Action Fund launched an ad buy in the Republican runoff for North Carolina’s 3rd district—its first primary of the cycle on behalf of GOP female candidates

"We need more qualified women in Congress, and NC-03 is an opportunity for Republicans to do just that," Winning For Women Executive Director Rebecca Schuller said in a statement provided to POLITICO.The July 9 runoff presents the first real test of Republican’s new efforts to elect more women by playing in primaries.
But GOP recruitment of women and the resources available to them lags behind Democrats, and Winning For Women is the only super PAC of its kind for female candidates on the Republican side. If Perry fails, it will highlight the limits of Republicans’“It would be awesome if the first election after the midterms, Republican voters chose a woman. It would send a strong message,” Winning For Women Action Fund spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas told POLITICO last month.
