Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh made a cheeky dig at one of the ITV correspondents during an emotional report on Friday.
Sadly, this week, someone dumped 5kg of salt on the soil, destroying all of Carly's efforts. A video of her assessing the damage went viral on social media and since then, more than £160,000 have been donated by the public as well as several celebrities such as Gary Lineker. Good Morning Britain aired clips of volunteers cleaning up the allotment and readying it for new produce as correspondent Nick Dixon explained the plan of action. He told viewers: "We are here this morning, the crew is here, I feel like we should get stuck in and help.
