This year's motto is 'Our world is beautiful'

For the next twelve months, amateur and professional photographers can submit their best shots to the popular photo competition with categories including; Landscapes, People, Nature, Architecture and Technology, Sports, Cooking and Food, Hobby and Leisure, Animals, Travel and Culture and Aerial Photography.
Charity partner, SOS Children's Villages Worldwide, has been selected, with 10p being donated for every photo submitted to an educational project of the children's relief organisation. “Railway to heaven” – a perfectly-timed shot as a train approaches, with a clear blue sky in the background.
