Morteza Goodarzi left Eve Kerr with serious injuries after ploughing into temporary lights in Glasgow's west end while she was waiting to cross the road.

A driver crashed into traffic lights which fell on a pedestrian and caused a bleed to her skull. Morteza Goodarzi, 40, ploughed into the temporary lights in Glasgow's west end on January 17 2021.

Goodarzi pled guilty yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to causing serious injury to Eve by dangerous driving. The court heard that Goodarzi was behind the wheel of a black Vauxhall Corsa when he drove at speed on Crow Road.READ MORE: Glasgow Barlinnie prisoner death fatal accident inquiry to take place
