Jessica fears she'll need to give up her job to take care of her child
A Glasgow mum has been having sleepless nights after being told her four-year-old son's nursery will be closing down in a few months.
With the increase in the cost of living, Jessica, who lives in the south side, says it would be difficult for the family to survive on her partner's salary alone. "I have phoned a lot of nurseries and dropped by to ask about spaces and everybody says there’s no space until 2024/2025, it’s crazy."My son has a lot of friends from the nursery and is very happy to go there. It’s very difficult to keep him at home because he enjoys going to nursery so it will be a huge problem for him.
A spokesperson for the college said: “Little Scholars Nursery is a privately owned nursery provider and they currently lease a building on the Langside Campus of Glasgow Clyde College.
