Frankie McVean and Gary Thomson died within days of each other.
Maureen Thomson and Linda McVean's sons both died from overdoses within days of each other while living in temporary accommodation. They insist the boys would not have died had they been housed in better conditions and away from places where drug dealing is rife.
"He didn't have a chance in a place where drug dealing is happening every day." Maureen added: "He had shown he had the determination to get off drugs and go through rehab but everybody knows you don't just walk out of one of those places into a drug-free life. "He was staying at the Queens Park Hotel at the same time as Gary and my son would let him use his phone after he lost his, so we'd have a chat. He was such a lovely person and it seems so needless that both of these young men are gone."
"These boys should never have been allowed to simply become part of the drug deaths statistics." Linda said: "My son was a real character and had arranged a council tenancy, which he was looking forward to.
