The force of the water appears to have lifted tarmac from the road, causing major flooding and prompting a rescue operation by emergency services.Postcodes confirmed to be affected include G2, G3, G4, G5, G11, G12, G13, G15, G20, G51 & Bearsden G61.18:57An update from Scottish Water confirms crews are in attendance at the burst 36” strategic water main at Auchenhowie Road; Milngavie.
Our operatives are in the area supporting customers with the flooding, and we are making arrangements to isolate this water main to allow our teams to carry out a safe repair of the water main. Whilst we undertake these works, please be aware that some customers may experience no water, low pressure or discoloured water supplies. Once we have isolated this water main, we will work to introduce network alterations to restore customer water supplies as quickly as possible.
