The team behind a popular bar and restaurant on Byres Road in the west end have shocked fans by announcing that they are to permanently close the venue.
Bar Soba Byres Road will close from Sunday, May 14 onwards according to the post on the firm's official social media pages. The stark announcement has left regulars saddened, however the brand sought to alleviate any worries about the sister venues in the Merchant City and Mitchell Lane adding that both would remain open.The pan-Asian eatery and bar is hugely popular thanks to its menu of exciting street food favourites and innovative cocktails inspired by the night markets of South-East Asia.
