Police are hunting for the owner of a dog which bit a five-year-old girl in the face. Officers are appealing for witnesses of the attack, which happened in a Northampton pub's garden last month.
The incident took place in at the Whitehills Pub in Whitehills Way, in the town on Saturday, August 27. Between 6.20pm and 8.30pm, when the child is said have ran past the dog, a greyhound, which then bit her on the face. The attack caused an injury which required medical treatment, Northamptonshire Police said. However, the girl's condition currently is not known.Northants Police are keen to trace the owner of the dog and are asking them, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to get in touch as soon as possible.
