Turns out, it couldn’t – so big sister Shannon, 16, was forced to make an embarrassing call to Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service. The 37-year-old said: ‘I had turned away for a second when I heard cries of “Mammy I’m stuck!” coming from the bathroom.Kay tried using washing-up liquid to free Harper’s head from the toilet seat ‘I called Shannon for help and we both tried to get it off but nothing was working.‘They turned up with their blue lights going and the kids loved it, the firefighters were so calming and kept the other kids busy whilst helping Harper.
The station manager at Wallsend Community Fire Station described Harper as a ‘super star’ as fire crews helped to release the toilet seat from around her head.
