A Staten Island, N.Y., ice cream truck driver pulled the girl into his vehicle and drove off with her, police said.

A Staten Island ice cream truck driver pulled a 10-year-old girl into his vehicle and drove off with her Sunday, but the little victim managed to escape, according to police.Harbor Road and Forest Avenue in Mariners Harbor sometime in the afternoon, cops said. He then grabbed her by the wrist and forced her into the truck.
The girl was in the truck for about a mile before she was able to break free near Richmond Terrace and Union Avenue around 4:40 p.m., police said. She ran until she found someone who let her use a phone to call her mom. Police immediately began canvassing the area and located the truck and driver, who was taken into custody.She and her mother were reunited and are helping police as they continue to investigate.
