The Giants placed left-hander Alex Wood on the 15-day injured list with a low back strain after he was rocked during his most recent start.
The move is retroactive to Thursday, one day after Wood was rocked for six runs on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings of a 9-4 loss to theWood, 32, is 1-1 with a 4.
80 ERA in eight games this season. This is Wood's second trip to the injured list in 2023; he missed three weeks witha strained left hamstring over April and May.
