Ax throwing coming to the San Antonio area.
The location is expected to open in June after undergoing renovations. Fogley is working to expand the space to 8,000 square feet and to add six axe-throwing lanes as well as additional rooms. Fogley also noted that he's adding"retro rooms," a new experience he came up with that includes customers being able to rent a space that is themed after different decades, including the 1970s, 80s and 90s, as well as a 1920s-themed speakeasy.
"One of the things we're gonna do is change the theme up of all of our activities," Fogley said."We're also going to add on a kid-friendly rage room with pool noodles and stuffed animals, as well as kid-friendly axe throwing with velcro." Those rooms will also function as escape rooms, Fogley said, with the San Antonio-area destination also including rage rooms, where customers can rent a space and destroy things using a variety of methods, as well as splatter paint rooms, where guests can paint using neon colors under a black light.
