Key opened his media availability by saying he “doesn’t want to make any political statement or religious statements or anything about that, but something’s got to change.”“My mom was a third-grade school teacher her whole career, and I’ve got a four-year-old daughter, about to be five, who was doing a school play when that happened,” he said. “There’s nothing political and nothing religious made about this but something has to change.
Key, becoming increasingly emotional, added: “And if this one thing I say can help somebody else say something and have the guts to stand up and say something, and maybe somebody the guts to stand up and do something, then maybe something will happen.” Georgia Tech HC Brent Key.. who’s mother was a school teacher… becomes very emotional discussing the tragic shooting event in Nashville this week
