Didn’t you see Gavin Newsom meeting with New Zealand’s prime minister to talk about a global response to climate change? Only governors meet with heads of state. Presidents, too, I guess. But Gavin Newsom is not thinking about running for president so there’s nothing to see here. It wasn’t Gavin Newsom’s fault that California reporters were whining about waiting years for sit-down interviews. What’s the matter, folks? You cancel your subscription to The Atlantic? Gavin Newsom doesn’t have time for sit-down interviews with local reporters because Gavin Newsom is worrying about the future of democracy!
