Football Insider has learned that Conor Gallagher wants to stay and fight for his Chelsea place despite ongoing interest from Tottenham.
sources have told Football InsiderThe Blues star has started the first three games of the 2023-24 campaign but could be dumped out of Mauricio Pochettino’s side by new signing Romeo Lavia in weeks to come.
Gallagher featured heavily in pre-season and has played 255 minutes of competitive football already this term with new signing Lavia not yet ready to feature.The England international’s chances of regular football have also been helped by the injuries to Christopher Nkunku and Carney Chukwuemeka. The former Crystal Palace loanee has less than two years left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
