Laurence Fox has received immense backlash yet again. It seems this time, he saw it fitting to spend Father's Day burning Pride flags in his back garden.
Not long before that, he incorrectly accused people of, leading him to have to pay £36,000 in legal fees after being sued for libel.
In his latest act, the former actor, 45, recorded himself with some Pride bunting hung up in his garden.‘It got the treatment it deserved’, he added in a tweet. The video proceeded to show him setting the flags alight during Pride Month. ‘This is what I think of your disgusting, vile, child sacrificial flag,’ he blasted, before taking a lighter to the decorations.‘It isn’t Pride, it’s just a celebration of the mutilation of children, and you can shove it,’ he said at the end.‘I have submitted this video to the police as a hate crime. This man has got away with far too much for far too long’, one person tweeted.
‘They didn’t even burn. Perfect metaphor for regardless of how much they try – They will never get rid of us. Ironic this was posted on Father’s Day, why aren’t you with your kids, Lawrence? Pathetically sad’, another blasted. As Laurence Fox films himself burning Pride flags, I remind myself of my friends who think he’s interesting, colleagues who have happily worked with him, mainstream media outlets who have enabled him, and the sheer vapidity of the “well he’s entitled to an opinion” brigade.
