Councillor Iain McMillan has been left puzzled by the policy to shut the doors between 11am and 3pm on weekdays.
Frustrations over the opening hours of Johnstone Community Sports Hub’s swimming pool have been reiterated.
“It’s shut from 11am until 3pm, Monday to Friday. That’s 20 hours a week which is quite a lot. I don’t understand it.” “As such, we look at pool usage and our opening times reflect this. We will continue to examine opening hours and adjust accordingly. This week, the hub has also offered young people access to the 3G pitch between 10am to 4pm for just £1 per session. In the first three days of the school holiday, this promotion has proven hugely popular with 85 children taking the opportunity to play football with friends.
