Daza hurled his bat in frustration, impaling the infield turf.
• Twins right-hander Emilo Pagan relieved Thielbar and promptly struck out C.J. Cron on three pitches. “In that situation, I just wanted to do my job and I showed my frustration,” said Daza, who drove in a run with a fourth-inning double. “I was hitting the ball hard and I don’t know how the pitcher caught the ball. That’s why I threw my bat like that.”
