A combination of police and members of the public managed to locate the stolen vehicle

A double-decker bus which had just been stolen was found 'hiding' at a service station. The double-decker bus, belonging to the First bus company, was found by the Wiltshire Police Roads Policing Unit across the border on the M4 motorway having been taken in Bristol.

Posting about the find on X, formerly known as Twitter, the RPU said the driver had been arrested on suspicion of taking the vehicle without consent, drug driving and other driving offences. It comes amid an apparently busy day for the Wiltshire RPU, which has posted about eight other offences today alone
