Hyundai is offering free software upgrades and steering wheel locks at a drive-up clinic in Austin, Texas this weekend to prevent thefts of certain models manufactured between 2011-2021 that have been targeted due to a social media trend demonstrating how to hotwire the vehicles.
"I've seen a little bit on it, but my mom was definitely worried about it so she wanted me to come out and get it done just for the safety," said Overton. "It can be difficult for some people to get to their dealer-- whether they've got family commitments with kids, sports or work commitments," said VandeLinde.
