For 50 years, the FCPA has served the city's near east side, and to celebrate, they hosted community members at the Franklin Park Conservatory for a look back of the neighborhood's history and a look ahead to the future. celebrated a milestone anniversary on Sunday.
"It's amazing to see so many folks come out on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate the past but also get excited about the future," Columbus City Council president Shannon Hardin told ABC 6 at the event. "How we look out for one another, how we take care of one another, Franklin Park Civic Association has been a leader in that for 50 years."
"We wanted something interactive that would be interactive," Walker said. "Something that would let people know not only about our community, but also show what they can do to find out more about their own community."
