Sheriff Larry Colston says 23 year old Tyreek Smith — is accused of shooting into a vehicle that was carrying several passengers — including the two year old baby.The U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force tracked Smith all the way to California — where he was caught and apprehended.
Colston says Smith is now back in Wilcox County — where he’s been indicted on multiple charges in the case. “Two counts of capital murder — three counts of attempted — and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle. They arrested him in Riverside, California. And he was extradited back here to Wilcox County,” said Colston.
“So, we have him here now. Just made it in this weekend. Getting ready to take him to court for his charges.”Colston says the case remains under investigation — and anyone with information should call investigators at 682-4715.
