Four U.S. citizens were kidnapped in northern Mexico after gunmen opened fire on their vehicle shortly after they crossed the border into Matamoros from Brownsville, Texas
, U.S. officials said late Sunday.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s San Antonio division said it was seeking help in locating the four individuals, who were abducted on Friday. The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to their return or the capture of those responsible.
