The artisanal waffle and ice cream shop plans to open as many as four more locations in the greater Jacksonville area.
Searcy said they are designing the ice cream shop themselves and are in the process of lining up a contractor. It will have about 44 seats inside and a few tables outside.Dolly Llama Waffle Master features two styles of made-to-order waffles — Bubble and Belgian OG Liege. It offers 16 flavors of ice cream, including four that are vegan, as well as nine sauces and 19 toppings.
Bubble waffles are created with a special batter that results in a crispy and custard-like texture. Belgian OG Liege waffles are flat and made with a yeast dough containing sugar pearls that carmelize. Other favorites include the Party Animal, featuring Salted Caramel ice cream, Kinder chocolate bar, circus animal cookies and chocolate sauce; and Sugar N' Sprice, with Horchata ice cream, Speculoos cookies, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and caramel sauce.Meet Dolly Llama, the mascot behind the brand
Dessert shop founders Samuel Baroux, a French restaurateur, and Eric Shomof, a real estate businessman, named the company for a real llama Baroux discovered on a farm in the south of France, according to the company's website.
