Four people were injured Sunday in separate shootings in East Oakland neighborhoods, authorities said.
Around noon, officers responded to the 1400 block of Fruitvale Avenue for a report of ShotSpotter activity, and arrived to find a person suffering from a gunshot wound, with a second wounded person found about a half-block away.
Both people were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries. Investigators were able to recover multiple shell casings from more than one scene. Shortly after 12:20 p.m., police responded to reports of a possible shooting in the city’s Webster neighborhood, and soon found a 27- and 29-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds in the 10000 block of Robledo Drive.
Neither of the two victims could provide details about where they were shot, and there were no reports of ShotSpotter activity in the vicinity at the time. They were taken to a hospital for treatment. For information leading to the arrest of a suspect, police are offering up to $10,000 in each shooting.
