Some 24 people are believed to have signed up for a tour of the capital city’s sewer network only for intense rainfall to lead to a string of cancellations, city emergency services say.The three teenagers had allegedly gone on the tour with their uncle, an IT worker, only to become trapped by the intense rainfall.
The powerful thunderstorms over Moscow saw a third of the region’s monthly rainfall, about 44mm, fall in a single day, weather services said.
