Yorkshire: Former chairman Roger Hutton will not take part in racism hearings
Hutton said it was because the process was "unfair" and he lacked "confidence" in the England and Wales Cricket Board.Yorkshire and seven individuals have been charged as a result of accusations made by former player Azeem Rafiq.
However, he added: "After careful consideration, I will not be taking part in the Yorkshire statement or any other aspects of the panel. An ECB spokesperson said: "This has been a thorough and extensive investigation into allegations of racism and the way they were handled by Yorkshire CCC, and we look forward to the case being heard by the Cricket Discipline Commission."
In his letter to Yorkshire, Hutton added: "Since my resignation last year, I have had no part to play in the club. Hutton said the ECB's statement that it had "repeatedly offered to help" through the investigation "couldn't be further from the truth". Yorkshire were charged in June of this year, alongside former England internationals Michael Vaughan, Matthew Hoggard, Tim Bresnan, Gary Ballance, ex-Scotland international John Blain, and former Yorkshire coaches Andrew Gale and Richard Pyrah.
