Da’Shaun Brown, 21, reportedly faces charges of kidnapping, robbery and battery resulting in injury for the the alleged incident which police say took place at 6:15 a.m. back on April 6.
According to reports, Brown used the app to meet a 30-year-old man. But, instead of long-lasting romance, he allegedly “used a large knife as a weapon,” and threatened to kill the man if he didn’t give him money.
Blooming Police say the two then engaged in “consensual sex,” before the victim alleges Brown placed “a large knife to his throat,” and demanded money. The victim said he showed Brown that he did not have any money, according to the report, and that is when he claims he was driven to an ATM and made to withdraw the cash.
Bloomington Police reportedly recovered video from the ATM which they say show Brown’s vehicle and license’s plate number. Police say when the went to Brown’s home to arrest him, they also found three credit cards with the victim’s name on them.
