Date published: Tuesday 6th December 2022 1:35 -Chris Waddle has dismissed claims that England striker Harry Kane needs to be rested after he scored a goal in their 3-0 victory over Senegal.
“Unfortunately, Harry has that body language and it’s easy to point the finger at him if he isn’t performing in a game and say that he’s tired. Harry Kane is super fit. He’s a big presence and a leader for England.” But the Liverpool midfielder produced a brilliant display and even got on the scoresheet for Gareth Southgate’s team.
“He’s confident. He’s a great leader on the pitch and is always communicating with his team mates. He does get a fair amount of stick, there are always question marks about his inclusion whenever he plays, but I think he is a presence on the field.”
