Former Eagles defensive end Hugh Douglas, who went to Central State, had 54.5 sacks during his time in Philadelphia.Hugh Douglas has been a staple in Philadelphia sports for nearly two decades.

Now, the one-time All-Pro defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles is receiving support from the City of Brother Love after suffering an unspeakable personal tragedy yesterday. Morehouse College announced on Monday that Douglas’ son, Hugh Douglas Jr., along with fellow junior Christion Files Jr., passed away in a car accident on Labor Day.

“Morehouse mourns the loss of Hugh Douglas ‘25 & Christion Files Jr. ‘25, who were involved in a devastating car accident on Monday,” the school. “These young men leave a legacy of excellence, passion, and dedication that will continue to inspire us all.” Douglas Sr., who is currently a talk radio host on 94 WIP in Philadelphia, has taken to social media to share photos and memories of his son, including a heartbreaking photo
