"He definitely had a lot of passions and a heart bursting with love,” said the man’s cousin Derwin Beushausen. “Christopher really, really was just a good guy. He wanted to help other people and he was a unique guy.”Christopher Beushausen, a 37-year-old father of four, was killed in an early morning shooting outside an apartment complex on Indianapolis east side on Jan. 13, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.on a report of a person shot just before 1 a.m.

Christopher Beushausen enlisted in the U.S. Army following high school graduation in 2003 then served until 2010, according to hisAfter serving in the military, Christopher Beushausen received his associates degree in criminal justice fromHe worked for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office as a full-time deputy for about two years then as a reserve deputy with the sheriff's office from 2014-18.

Christopher Beushausen also worked as a school resource officer and a private security guard. Before he was killed, he was working as an Uber driver in Indianapolis.
