Stern’s team has already completed dozens of operations close to the Kakhovka dam and is working on setting up more maritime operations in Kherson. The World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development, a Ukrainian nongovernmental organization, estimated that nearlyUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a June 10 video posted to Twitter that the collapse of the dam was caused by a"Russian terrorist attack." Zelenskyy also accused Russian forces of shooting at rescuers in flooded areas. "People, animals have died," he told Politico Europe.
