An 85-year-old Florida man died and four people were hurt Monday morning in a four-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Bergen County, authorities said.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that a Jeep struck debris causing two flat tires and became disabled in the left shoulder,” State Police Sgt. Alejandro Goez said in an email. The driver of the Lincoln was seriously injured. The passenger, Ralph McGillan, of Fort Myers, Florida, was killed in the crash, Goez said.
