It was a busy week for the Match Review Panel.
Five Super League players have received one-match bans following the latest meeting of the Match Review Panel. Six further players have been fined after a busy weekend of action.
Among those suspended is Leeds Rhinos forward Sam Walters, who has received a Grade B dangerous contact charge. That will see him miss their trip to France to play Catalans Dragons on Friday. Leeds do have, albeit an incredibly slim, chance of making the play-offs if they can win their final two games and both Warrington Wolves and Salford Red Devils lose their final two games.
The Reds have lost Brad Singleton for their pivotal clash against Hull KR after receiving a Grade B high tackle charge in the frantic victory over Warrington Wolves, keeping their hopes of making the top six strong. Meanwhile, Wakefield Trinity, who have to win their last two games or will be relegated from Super League, will be without Renouf Atoni after he landed a Grade C dangerous contact charge. Trinity face Leigh Leopards and will also be without David Fifita, who has now retired.
Huddersfield Giants have received two suspensions, with Luke Yates and Jack Ashworth both set to miss their game with Hull FC this Saturday after receiving charges. The Giants are currently above Hull FC in ninth due to points difference, though both clubs can no longer mathematically reach the play-offs.Leigh due Joe Wardle and Tom Amone have received fines, as have the Warrington pair of Matty Nicholson and Thomas Mikaele.
