WASHINGTON — Fisher Price is recalling roughly 21,000 Thomas & Friends train car toys due to a choking hazard. issued a recall alert on Oct. 19, alerting consumers to stop using the toys. No injuries have been reported in connection to the recall.
The recall was issued after Fisher-Price was notified of a report of the plastic connector becoming loose and detaching from the product. The train cars come with magnetic connectors to attach to other toys. The items under the recall are"Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Troublesome Truck & Crates" and"Troublesome Truck & Paint." The recalled toys, which measure about 3.6 inches long by 2.1 inches high, come with faces on them, resembling characters from Thomas & Friends.
Troublesome Truck & Paint is a gray and black train car with cargo of gray paint cans and a yellow splatter on the side, according to the recall. The Troublesome Truck & Crates is a black and gray train car with cargo of brown crates. The train cars were sold nationwide at Barnes & Noble as well as online at Amazon.com and other websites from February 2022 through August 2023 for $17.
