A 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving
Three people were taken to hospital after a two car crash on Thornton Common Road in Wirral at around 9.05pm on Monday, August 14. Christine, 68, who was a passenger in the Ford Fiesta, tragically died at Aintree Hospital from her injuries days later on Thursday, August 17.
He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries. In a statement issued today , Christine's family described her as a "devoted" wife, mum and nan who loved her family.They said: “We would like to express our sincere thanks to all of the emergency services especially the wonderful staff at Aintree University Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mum, nan and great nan who loved her family, her home especially her beautiful garden.
“We launched an investigation on Monday and our detectives are gathering evidence. Our priority is to get answers for her family, who are being supported by specially trained officers.
