With Louisana Fried Chicken specialists Popeyes set to open in Barrhead on Monday, September 18, Glasgow Live was invited along to try it out and find out what people can expect.
The hotly anticipated arrival will see a drive-thru restaurant bringing a taste of New Orleans to Barrhead’s new retail park on Glasgow Road on Monday, September 18.
The new fried chicken fast-food restaurant will be the chain's first in Scotland and the 29th in the UK, since they launched here from the US in November 2021. Known for their famous 'shatter crunch' and their Louisana-style signature 12-hour marinated chicken, the new restaurant has 56 seats inside, and 16 outside, fans can order online to collect or visit the drive-thru.Look out for the bright orange signage which showcases their famous chicken sandwich.The exciting new restaurant opens on Monday, September 18 at the new retail estate on Glasgow Road.
