Several people were injured when a rogue rocket opened the display by misfiring into the crowd.
Several people were injured after the first firework in a pub's Bonfire Night display shot into the crowd. Children screamed and hid behind a building in fear after the rocket went rogue at the annual event, Cornwall Live reports.
Some were left furious that the display appeared to continue after one of the early fireworks diverted dangerously of course. However, the organisers confirmed that the rogue rocket was part of a multi-pyro sequence, which was unable to be stopped. One mum said: "A sad end to the fireworks with people being injured due to a firework exploding in the crowd. My sons luckily arrived home with only singed hair but they witnessed two people who appear to have been seriously hurt."

"The single cell which caused these injuries was part of a multi firework and therefore several further cells went off shortly after the initial incident but fired correctly. This was beyond our control due to the nature of multi fireworks. As soon as the firework crew and Fire Marshal were informed via radio of the situation no further fireworks were released, as has been inaccurately suggested.
