More details have been released about the suspected shooter taken into custody.
Officials say DFR units were assigned to a call for a fire at the home at about 5:55 p.m. in the 5800 block of Westgrove Drive.
All of the house's occupants were evacuated prior to firefighters arriving, officials said. Attack teams deployed hard lines and entered to extinguish the flames. A short time later, a second alarm response was requested as the fire was already in advanced stages. Command then ordered everyone out of the house and began fighting the fire defensively.
Since that time, the fire escalated to a 3-alarm response, which resulted in the dispatch of between 70 and 80 firefighters as well as 15 heavy apparatus, officials said. The fire is still ongoing. Officials said the house has suffered partial roof collapse among other significant damage. No injuries have been reported, officials said, and there is no known cause of the fire at this time.
