The fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning
A fire has caused damage to the Carrickfergus Congregational Church, the NI Fire and Rescue Service has said.A total of 31 firefighters tackled the blaze until it was extinguished at about 8am.The NIFRS has said the cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental.
“NIFRS were called to reports of a fire in Carrickfergus Congregational Church, Albert Road, Carrickfergus at 05.23am on Sunday 30 October," a spokesperson said. "Fire Appliances from Carrickfergus, Glengormley, Whitla, Whitehead, Springfield, a Command Support Unit from Lisburn, an Aerial Appliance, 31 Fire-fighters and 2 Officers were in attendance.
