Fire crews quickly extinguish blaze in two-story apartment building in Grant Hill [Breaking]
Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in a two-story apartment building in Grant Hill Sunday afternoon and investigators were trying to figure out what sparked it, a fire official said.
The blaze was reported just before 2:25 p.m. on K Street near 29th Street, said San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief David Pilkerton.Firefighters used the alley to get near the fire, which involved a two-story building on the rear of the lot behind another structure. They found fire burning on the second floor and roof of the building, the battalion chief said.Within 11 minutes, crews had the flames knocked down.
