Monochrome is out, bright colours are in: fiat bans grey cars, starting with next year's new 600e 🎨
Ever berated how modern streetscapes have become too monochrome? Trudge down a typical British city road and you’re faced by row upon row of silver, grey, muted metallic hues. Not any longer, at least if Italian car brand Fiat has anything to do with it.
‘We decided to stop the production of Fiat grey cars,’ said Olivier Francois, CEO and global chief marketing officer at parent company Stellantis. ‘This is challenging and disruptive and it is aimed at further reinforcing Fiat’s leadership as the brand of joy, colours, and optimism.’electric family car, which will be unveiled in full on 4 July 2023.
Grey is the most popular colour for new cars registered in the UK, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders . More than one in four new cars sold here last year was painted grey.
