Dedicated to the concept, craftsmanship, continuous evolution, innovation, and the numerous interpretations that the bag abides by season after season, with altering shapes, scales, wearability, materials, and personality, the book is a must-have for global fans of the label. An eccentric yet contemporary addition to the label, Silvia Venturini Fendi created a bag that would be in sync with a child—ever-changing, and consistently animated, forging the title “Peekaboo”.
The Peekaboo bag’s signature geometric trapezoid structure is a nod to sleek minimalism with contrasting textures and colors, creating a unique experience for the wearer. Like the bag, the Peekaboo-K constructs an unexplored adventure, illustrating the essence of the Peekaboo and its multifaceted characteristics. The limited-edition book is designed with three-dimensional construction, inspired by the colors of the Rose Black Peekaboo ISeeU bag.
Revising textures is the first chapter, focusing on the design and status symbol of the Peekaboo. Canvas serves as the title for the second chapter, highlighting the many different variations of the bag that diverse creatives have done in collaboration with Fendi over the years. Eclectic Instinct is the third chapter, with a focus on the playful spirit of the handbag, and FENDI Graphia is the fourth chapter- discussing the Peekaboo’s heritage and multifarious logomania.
To create the bag, Fendi artisans put pattern and embroidery at the forefront, cutting shearling strips in shape and meticulously hand-waving them into drilled leather panels. The iconic Selleria macro stitching also adorns several of the bags in the collection. An assortment of colors to choose from include beige, chocolate brown and mint, brown, and white and beige.
