For four long years Sharon Whitlow has waited for the truth to come out after her nephew's undiagnosed psychotic illness had tragic consequences.
Despite several GPs flagging up "possible psychotic symptoms" Conor was still awaiting a full mental health assessment when he killed 71-year-old Marlene. One mental health practitioner's brief assessment, carried out just weeks before Marlene died, lasted no longer than 20 minutes despite Carole Middlebrook claiming it had lasted 45 minutes.
When Conor appeared a shell-shocked Sharon asked him what he had done. He replied "that's what you get when you mess with Lucifer" before skipping towards Sharon and attacking her.
