When the shooting ended, six people were dead and 10 had been wounded in the heart of downtown Sacramento’s entertainment district.“Why did they do this to my baby?“ cried one woman as she stood at the scene, referring to the shooter or shooters, who have not yet been identified.
The gunfire erupted around 2 a.m. in the heart of downtown Sacramento’s night life district. Witnesses said the bars closed and people spilled out into the street when the shooting began.Fred Harris said his daughter called him about 2:30 a.m. to tell him that his son Sergio Harris, 38, had been shot to death.
