'I have yet to receive any email about the flight being cancelled'
Families returning from holiday have been left stranded after travel company TUI cancelled a number of Belfast bound flights for more than 24 hours.
"When we got through security and passport control, the airport was horrendous and we had to sit on the floor." Kirsty told us that after they collected their luggage, they had to queue to be handed a post-it note with the details of the hotel they would be staying. Kirsty said she was told that the only alternative would be that she could sleep on the floor of the airport.
Kirsty told us that this has been extremely difficult for her family and said that the handling of the delays has been "horrendous". "We understand how frustrating this is for customers, and would once again like to apologise for the inconvenience caused. All customers will be entitled to claim EU261 flight delay compensation.
